Don't Eat Reese's Before Bed

Very often, the first thing that will come out of Derek's mouth in the morning is some nonsense that turns into a crazy dream plot, which in turn refreshes my dream memory. Last night, we both had some strange ones - to the point that we gave up on sleep...

Foods Eaten: The last thing we ate before going to bed was this Reese's peanut butter bar dessert thing. I blame the peanut butter for the dreams that ensued.

The Dream:
I was sitting in my own living room, on my own computer. Derek was next to me, also on his computer. We were each doing our usual thing - game playing and internet browsing, and it appeared to be sometime late in the evening. I decided it was time to go to bed, and announced so to Derek. We both went upstairs, but upon reaching the top of the steps he pushed me to the ground in front of our washer and dryer. As I laid on my back, I looked up just in time to watch Derek slam his fist into my face, punching all my teeth out.

Suddenly realizing I was dreaming... I tried to wake myself up. The dream snapped from the setting it was in to a black void, but I was in a panic trying to get out of the dream. I remember trying to wake my fiance up through my thoughts, repeatedly going "Derek, wake me up! Derek, wake me up!" I can't remember how, but eventually I did come to consciousness, realizing that I had been shoving my face so deeply into Derek's back that I was biting him. Explains the teeth dream.

In my nightmare induced paranoia I stayed awake for a few minutes. It was raining outside, so I was listening to the drops fall. Eventually I drifted back to sleep...

And then I was very abruptly awoken by Derek bellowing the words, "GET OUTTA MY HOUSE!" and it was only upon the word "house" when he came to his own consciousness, a moment too late to stop himself from finishing his exclamation. I had already looked at the clock and noted that it was 6:15am and that he was dreaming. His first words to me were "What did I just say?" - I filled him in, then he filled me in on the dream he was having that a bunch of witches were breaking into the house and he was preparing to attack them with swords. We had a good laugh about how confused they neighbors he probably just woke up were, then decided between our dreams that we'd had enough sleep for the time being.
