Scenes from my Dreams

Notes: My sister is dating someone she actually likes and apparently my subconscious is implying they are moving too fast. Dream Location: In a restaurant? The Dream: I was sitting at a booth table in what seemed to be a Texas Roadhouse Steak restaurant with my old grade school friend, Tana. I had just gotten news that my sister had gotten engaged to her new (by new I mean one-two weeks at most) boyfriend. For some reason, I was the one holding on to her ring, though it was not a typical ring. It was ornate, silver and double banded, studded with diamonds, but it could expand and contract. I was wearing it around my wrist. I was essentially venting at Tana about my disapproval. I seem to recall going up a flight of stairs with Tana, and encountering my sister and TJ, though I don't know what else was going on.

Notes: I'm just going to assume that this is due to the recent outbreak of tornadoes in my lovely state of NC. I want to see a tornado, but the closest I seem to get is miles away... Dream Location: A hotel, my house The Dream: I was outside taking my puppy for a walk. I distinctly remember walking along a black paved path with lush grass surrounding it. I seem to recall the ground being very moist, as if it had just rained recently. The sky was definitely dark and looked like it was going to storm soon. I think my mom was walking with me, though I don't remember any specific conversation, I seemed to acquire the knowledge that we were at a hotel. I don't ever remember being inside the hotel, but my next distinct memory was back at home. My family was a bit frantic, as it was extremely windy and rainy. I knew we were about to be in or near a tornado. My dad asked me to make sure the garage door was down. I quickly ran to the garage, and the door was in fact NOT clos...

Notes: I think this was the result of having to walk at least a mile last night due to parking issues at a Jimmy Buffett concert I went to. Worth it though. Foods Eaten: Chicken Salad Dream Location: Outside somewhere The Dream: I don't really recall anyone else that I knew being there, but I was walking along a light dirt path with hundreds of other people. The crowd was very diverse, and there were a number of Africans walking on the outer side of the path play instruments. I specifically recall one guy - he wasn't old, but he wasn't young. He was very thin, and sort of hunched over, but he was in high spirits. He walked next to me, never straying too far, but had a drum that he was continuously beating on. Some times he would approach other people in the crowd walking along the path, letting them also tap the drum at their leisure. I remember at some point thinking that I didn't want to keep walking, that I was tired and had already walked enough. I slowed do...

Notes: When I woke up, I didn't remember being lucid at first. It took me a few minutes before I suddenly realized I had gone lucid twice during the night, though I only remember one time. Somehow I am just positive that I had gone lucid again afterwards. Dream Location: A random room The Dream: I don't remember much, I remember being in a bedroom. There was a white ladder that lead up to what seemed like a loft bed. An old grade school friend, Val, was sitting on top of it. Somehow seeing Val triggered immediate lucidity, though I'm not sure how. My visions turned into a strange strobing white and black light, and I recall being slightly surprised by the lucidity. I remember wondering how I got into lucidness and I remember thinking about what I should do. Apparently I spent too long thinking instead of doing and accomplished nothing.

Notes: Aww! I'd be so sad if this happened, even though my puppy does have his annoying moments. Foods Eaten: Way too much Brie cheese. Dream Location: In an unfamiliar house. The Dream: I was in what seemed to be an unfamiliar house. I had just come home and went to go greet my puppy, but I couldn't find him. I asked my mom where he was, and though I don't think she answered, I came to the conclusion that he had been taken to an animal shelter and put up for adoption. (Surprising what dreams will convince you of...) I came to the conclusion that mom was probably right, that my puppy was a nuisance and we weren't able to give him enough time and the love that he needed... Fortunately, it didn't take long for me to get depressed about it and start thinking about how big of a mistake I was making just giving my puppy up like that. I started crying and freaking out. I ran up a flight of stairs that lead me directly into my sisters room, and she was sitting on ...

Notes: I don't remember a lot of details, just a few random things. Foods Eaten: Taco Salad Dream Location: My Room The Dream: I simply remember laying on my bedroom floor on my stomach near the door. I think my sister's friend Kendall was there with me for some reason. I was looking at the door and realized that there were three knobs on it. The normal one, then another at the top and a third at the bottom. The top knob had no lock, the middle knob had the normal lock that's actually on it, and the bottom had a push lock. I remember thinking, "Hmm, that's interesting, but also convenient." I pushed the lock in on the bottom one. The next thing I remember was being in some sort of restaurant with my old buddy, Kevin. I think TJ was also there, but I don't know what we were all talking about. I  also recall the bassist of a band called Shallow Side, Cody, being there. I think he was with me as my date or something, but he wasn't affectionate at...

Notes : ... Foods Eaten: Subway Salad Dream Location: In an office The Dream: I was sitting in a cheap office chair at a round table. There was another guy at the table with me, and we were discussing my prices for doing freelance work. That's really all I remember.

Notes: Uh.. yeah. Foods Eaten: Pizza Dream Location: In Front of my computer? The Dream: I'm not sure what all was going on, I just remember I was sitting at a computer - probably mine. I was on an instant messenger, when my coworker, Travis, randomly messaged me. I expected the message to be work related, but instead he was attempting to hit on me.
