The White House

Notes: I had some really elaborate dreams last night, but for some reason I can only recall details about the locations of each - I don't seem to have a clue about the plots or actual happenings in either dream. Foods Eaten: Salad covered in very spicy salsa. The Dream: It was night time, I was at what was a very large and elegant white house. There were three symmetrical octagonal areas at the front with large, full wall windows. Inside each of the three rooms were two tiered floors, decorated with lots of lovely fern plants. One of the areas had a hot tub on the second tier. I seem to remember both Derek and TJ being in the house. I also remember going semi-lucid at some point. I was fully aware that I was dreaming, but I remember trying to push or pull an object and being completely unable to. I even remember thinking to myself, "I'm dreaming, but why can't I interact?"

Seen in Public

Notes: The repetitively appearing deodorant element has me questioning my hygiene today. The Dream: I was in a house with an unfamiliar layout. I was standing on a platform area of a T-intersection of stairs (I could draw it, but no idea how to explain it with words...) . There were wide banister railings on them. At the top, there was a container of pear scented deodorant sitting on the banister (probably my subconscious imposing a dose of reality in there, seeing as I really do have a stick of deodorant on my banister right now) . I don't know why it caught my notice so much. I don't remember the upstairs layout, but I ended up in a bathroom. There were three more sticks of scented deodorants on the counter. Aimlessly, I walked back downstairs, and went down to the right at the T-intersection. As I did so, my ex, TJ, came walking out of a closet. He was wearing a large baggy shirt, and pulling a wife beater over the top of it. I laughed a little bit, as he looked so ridi...

Shoes and Basements with Sues

Notes: Picked my lucid dreaming book back up, didn't read it last night, but the two nights before. Finally remembered a dream in somewhat better detail than late. Foods Eaten: Pretzels The Dream: I was in the entryway of my old next door neighbor's, Sue and Rory, house. My sister was there, and I seem to recall TJ being with me. We had just walked in and I wasn't sure whether to take my shoes off or not. Rory had just walked in the door as well, and took his shoes off. So I followed suite. Rory went to the kitchen where Sue was; TJ, my sister and I all followed... Then I was walking down a staircase behind a door, it was to a basement, though I seem to remember having to go outside to get to the door. My Aunt Sue was suddenly at the top of the stairs behind me. I remember walking down into the basement... Alarm woke me up.

Just Leave a Donation

Notes: Really odd one this morning... I was definitely in the middle of some deep REM sleep when the alarm clock went off. I still haven't shook off the grogginess. Foods Eaten: Chicken Parm Dream Location: Unsure The Dream: I know there was some sort of prelude to this, I had witnessed (or possibly participated in) the killing of someone (unsure who). I fled the scene with a few others who were there, but ended up with a handful of other people that had not been at the killing. My dad was driving our Jeep, I'm pretty sure Melissa and TJ were also in the car, though we had just arrived at a location I'm not sure how to explain. It was a light wood platform with stores connected to it. There was an octagonal shaped picnic table that we walked over to sit down at. As I approached the table, I noticed odd indentations in the shape of bottle caps. Within each indentation was a coin. I said out loud, "Hey, look at the tables." But everyone else was already takin...

The Unfaithfuls

Notes: I half wonder if me wearing TJ's hoodie to sleep last night had any effect on this dream, since his ex gave it to him. Foods Eaten: ACP Dream Location: In a fancy house, and on a gravel road The Dream: I was in a very fancy and large, but old victorian style home. It was white, with columns in the front, and TJ was there, along with my exes, Richard and Nate. Each were there with girls, though they were unfamiliar girls. And all of the guys were passing around the girls - including me! I don't recall actually doing anything with either Richard or Nate, but talking to them and asking them how they were and what they were doing. But when I got back around to TJ, he was sitting with a new girl - who I recognized promptly as his ex, Helen. He had his hand on her thigh, and she was kissing his neck. Even though I was angry, I was strangely calm. I asked him what he was doing, and why. I don't think he gave me an answer, before I ran out of the house. I was runni...

Racist Shots (Second Paragraph is Gross)

Notes: Really, really odd dream. In better news, at least my memory is starting to work though. Foods Eaten: Taco Salad Dream Location: Inside a dining room and in an unfamiliar outdoors area. The Dream: I was sitting in a cold and dark room, seemingly abandoned. TJ was with me, and an old elementary school friend, Erin, was also there. The room was made completely of cement, and only had two narrow rectangular windows with the glass broken out of them. I have no idea what we were doing there, but we ended up leaving without issue. Outside seemed pretty abandoned, too, if not for the well kept grass. There was a paved street, but no other houses or buildings near by. We decided to walk along the road, and after a few minutes I paused to look behind us. I saw a very small, dark cloud floating low to the ground, and pouring rain out of it. I paid it no mind and continued walking, but turned around again after a few more minutes. The cloud appeared to be following us, in a rather c...

The Strange Man at The Strange House

Notes: I can't remember if this dream was from last night or the night before that. I remember thinking about it, but then forgot, but suddenly it popped back into memory. Foods Eaten: Eggnog and grapes (I am SO excited eggnog is back!!!) Dream Location: It was at some unfamiliar one story, looong house. The Dream: I was in a room of a house. The room was plain white, with a white tiled floor and high ceilings. The only thing odd was that instead of the ceiling being slanted, the floor was slanted - like a lowered platform sort of thing. There were shelves on the wall, stocked with boxes, like a warehouse. There was a door to the right that led to the rest of the house, up a small set up stairs. On one side of the room was the main entry door to the house, and opposite that door was another door that lead into what was apparently a concert venue. The venue door was under a canopy type cover, making the area around it dark, but lit up by blacklights. There was an old schoo...

A Little Too Late

Notes: ... Dream Location: Some sort of restaurant? The Dream: I had this dream a couple days ago, and unfortunately I can't remember what happened up to this point.  I was sitting at a round table with bar stools. My old crush from middle school, Pieter, was sitting to my right. TJ was standing behind him. I'm not sure what we were talking about, but I'm pretty sure I had just done something slightly significant and Pieter leaned over the table and kissed me. I pushed him away and exclaimed, "What are you doing?! My boyfriend is standing right there!" I don't recall TJ having any reaction and I don't recall anything else either...

Irritations

Notes: My mind was active last night, I have a number of vague memories of dreams, but not a very complete recollection of any of them. Foods Eaten: Eggplant Parm Dream Location:  Part in TJ's parent's truck, part in a parking lot outside a hotel or motel? The Dream: I was sitting in the back seat of TJ's parent's white truck. TJ was sitting at the left window seat and I was in the middle, his mom was in the passenger seat and his dad was either driving or missing in action. His mother pulled out a cigarette and started smoking (she doesn't smoke) , and then TJ rolled down the window and started smoking a cigarette as well (he doesn't smoke either) . I became quickly irritated with TJ and resisted swatting the cigarette out of his hand... Somehow we ended up standing around a parking lot outside of a building that appeared to be some sort of motel or hotel. I was facing TJ with my arms wrapped around him, snuggling his chest, when he lit up another ciga...

Dangerous Fun

Notes:  Going to have to attribute this one to having dinner with TJ and his parents and half the discussion revolving around pranks involving fireworks... Even though it seems mean, the entire dream had a very playful and fun nature to it. Foods Eaten: Eggplant Parm Dream Location: A road and then in a field... The Dream: I was in motion going down a one way asphalt road, I don't know if I was in a car or running or what. I saw my dog running down the road ahead of me, and I was chasing after him. He veered off the road onto a sidewalk in front of some old town shops. I know for sure I was running on foot at this point, jumping over plants and various extrusions in the sidewalk. My dog approached a busy corner at full speed, and ran straight across the road with no regard for the cars around. He ran into the outside patio area of a McDonalds, and I was cursing under my breath at the dog for not listening to me. There was a line of small hedges surrounding the pati...

Tornado

Dream Location: A restaurant parking lot The Dream: TJ and I had just exited a restaurant we had apparently ate at for dinner with my dad. It was dark out and we were walking around the parking lot. For whatever reason, I ask my dad if I could borrow his car. Right around that moment, my mom also pulled into and parked in the parking lot. She got out as if we were just getting ready to go in to eat dinner, but before we can even exchange hello's, there was a really loud noise that kept continuing and only growing louder. I recall thinking to myself, "That sounds like a tornado." But apparently my mom was having different thoughts, as she asked, "Is that a train?" My dad chimed in, though not in much of a panic, "No, that's a tornado. Take cover." My mom grabbed hold of the side of her car, and I just stood there in a bit of a trance watching the tornado come closer. All I was thinking about was how much I was going to hurt if I survived this. Bu...

Jessica Alba - Dumb as a Rock

Notes:  I woke up and remembered this one in strangely vivid detail, and as usual, failed to write it down quickly and forgot 90% of it. Foods Eaten: Steak Dream Location: Some movie-like park The Dream: It was some time in the evening, in a park - like Central Park in New York or something. I was walking around, when I spotted Jessica Alba. I went to go talk to her, she said, "Hi!" in a very bubbly tone. Her hair was a brilliant blonde, and had shimmery metallic strands of gold and silver in it, it was very magical looking. The tips of her hair were also dyed a bright sky blue. I remember trying to talk to her, but she simply just kept saying, "Hi!" in the same bubbly tone. I concluded that she was dumber than a rock. I ended up going to a car (did not make note of who's car or what kind) , but TJ was sitting in it. I told him I met Jessica Alba, and also informed him that she was dumber than a rock. He still wanted to meet her. Don't remember th...

Are You Breaking Up With Me Cuz of THAT?

Notes:  Got into a discussion earlier with my boyfriend about marriage, when he blatantly proclaimed that he was never getting married - to which I asked if I was just wasting my time with him then, because I don't want to be in a relationship if both people aren't of the mutual opinion that it's "going somewhere". I'm pretty sure this dream was derived from that conversation... Dream Location: My room The Dream: I was laying in my bed, facing TJ. Presumably, he had just broken up with me, though I don't remember it actually happening. I was somewhat upset, trying to figure out the cause. I asked him, "Was it because of the getting married thing we were talking about earlier?" This is really all I remember. I woke up after asking that question, and TJ was fast asleep next to me.

Have A Laugh

Notes: This was definitely one of my more humorous dreams as of late. I laughed a little bit when I woke up from it, but yet another night where I had multiple dreams after a few days of none. Foods Eaten: Greek Salad Dream Location: Department Store... sort of The Dream: I had just walked into a large building, with white walls and tiled floors. TJ was with me, we were casually walking along, holding hands. On each side of us were platforms, which I guess were supposed to be like stores. They had signs hanging from the ceiling labeling what each platform was for. We passed one that said "Frame Sale" over it, and I pointed it out to TJ explaining that my company must be having their monthly frame sale. The next platform was labeled "Clearance Dresses". This one, of course caught my eye, and I had to go browse. Getting on to the platform, it turned into more of an enclosed store. The entry way was nothing but a flight of steps, which we walked up. There were...

Childhood Memories

Notes:  ... Dream Location: The top floor of my house The Dream: I was in the top floor of my house, which used to be my old bedroom. It was laid out exactly the same. My sister and friend, Rachael, were laying on my bed. TJ and I had built one of those intricate tent things using blankets and chairs across the floor. We were camping under our blanket tent, laying next to each other underneath another blanket. I'm not sure if any of us were talking, but suddenly the room was swarming with lady bugs. Rachael and my sister ended up crawling in the blanket tent with us, and we were all hiding under blankets waiting for the lady bugs to go away.

Brutal Highway

Notes: I must have went in to REM sleep quick last night, because I woke up at 1:00am thanks to a stomach ache and remembered this whole thing. Amazingly, I still remember it the actual morning after. Foods Eaten: Tuna Cerviche Salad Dream Location:  On a highway? The Dream: TJ was driving my 350z, I was in the passenger seat. We were on a highway, though not one I recognized. There weren't many cars out, and it was broad daylight. Suddenly, one of the few cars in front of us slammed on the brakes. TJ did the same, angry about the seemingly unexplained breaking - until I looked out the window and saw a severed arm laying in the middle of one of the lanes. I gasped and did a double take, while pointing it out to TJ. We both cringed, thinking about what kind of accident had to have happened for that, but tried not to stare too long, as there were no other cars fully stopped. There wasn't even police or an ambulance anywhere in sight. Continuing down the road a few miles, we we...

Pre-Marriage Jitters

Notes:  I slept with my hair up in foils last night (dying it), so I didn't get the best sleep in the world. Woke up a lot. Foods Eaten:  Just snacked on random things throughout the day... my hair took too long and by the time I finished I just wanted to go to bed and not eat. Dream Location:  Hotel of some sort The Dream: I was standing on a floor of a hotel, in front of the elevators. There were staircases that spiraled around each side of me. A random, older guy walked out of the elevator and proceeded to complain about foreigners... but he had some sort of European accent. I was kind of amused by his hypocrisy, so I just smiled at him as he walked by. Now I've noticed TJ and my sister are with me. The elevator seems to be taking forever to get to us, so I decide it will be quicker to just go use the stairs. TJ and my sister decide that it's now become a race, especially since right as I started walking up the stairs, the elevator arrived. I ran quickly ...

My Nachos Aren't Good Enough

Notes: I'm sure there was more to this dream, I just don't remember any other part of it. Foods Eaten: I don't remember, but this dream inspired me to have nachos for dinner... Dream Location: Some random building The Dream: It all started in a plain kitchen with a black and white tiled floor. The room was older, not well kept. I had just made a plate of nachos and was serving them to TJ. He ate one and informed me that he didn't like them.... Being the good girlfriend I am, I decided to try and make them again. I don't recall doing any actual cooking, so I guess I just magically had a plate of nachos and handed them to TJ again. Same results, he took one bite and said they still weren't good. Well apparently, I was desperate to get him to like my nachos, so I magically produced some nachos a third time. I delivered the plate to him, he took one bite and simply said, "Not bad." I took this as acceptable... and... the end?

Escape to a Black Light Restaurant

Notes: Another very vivid one, but I seem to be unable to remember some key details in it. Foods Eaten: Alfredo Dream Location: In a house in the middle of a field, in a different house, in a candy factory and in a restaurant/bar. The Dream: It all started in a little house on the prairie. The house was old, typical white sideboards, and located in the middle of a very large wheat field. I think TJ was working at the field as a job, but I don't really remember seeing him there or conversing with him. In fact, I don't remember much about being in the house, except that there was a violent thunderstorm... And then I ended up in another small house. Apparently TJ had gotten a new job, working for an older man. TJ let me tag along with him to his first day, where the man was instructing him on how to build something. We were all standing in what seemed small enough to be a little hide away in a basement. The ceiling of the room was slanted, and there was a storage door. ...

Don't Combine the Noodles!

Notes: A slightly humorous dream. Foods Eaten: ACP Dream Location: TJ's house The Dream: I was at my boyfriend's house, sitting at a dinner table with him and his parents. There were a large number of bowls full of spaghetti noodles on the table. TJ's dad was sitting at the head of his table. I was to the right, and TJ was to my right, with TJ's mom across from me. We all had typical dinner and conversation, until I started helping clean up. While the three of them were still cross-table jabbering, I began combining all the bowls of spaghetti into one bowl. I figured it was just wasting space, and even though some of the spaghetti had different sauce or spices, that it was all close enough that it wouldn't matter if it was mixed together. No one made any comment until when I put a lid on the bowl and started standing up to go put it in the fridge. TJ's dad suddenly and sternly said, "Liz! Did you just put all the spaghetti into one bowl?" I p...
