Scenes from my Dreams

Notes: What I remember is vague. Foods Eaten: Probably eggnog or a cookie. Dream Location: Skewed version of family friend John Coffey's House The Dream: I was at my family's close friend, John Coffey's house. The house wasn't really a house, but more like a stand alone apartment. Maybe a townhouse. I remember John and his wife, Ting, were in the process of selling the house, but it was really gross. The carpets and walls were filthy. I remember walking into the bathroom, then sitting on the toilet. I was wearing all my clothes, and wasn't actually trying to use the bathroom, I was just sitting on the seat. An unidentifiable friend of mine came in the room, which surprised me. I remember talking to them for a minute, then running out the door. I remember something else about opening a garage door, but I don't remember what that was about either...

Notes: This dream was actually sort of creative. Foods Eaten: Eggnog Dream Location: In a quaint sort of neighborhood The Dream: I was walking with my boyfriend along a sidewalk in a very typical American sort of neighborhood. The houses were small and cute, all white wood paneled, with the white picket fence in front. Most of the people that lived in the houses were outdoors doing lawn work, whether it be watering and/or planting flowers, or mowing the grass. Each house also had a street sign in front of it, and on the metal pole attached to the sign, were some sort of indescribable object. I knew that the objects were some sort of prank, and if you touched or activated it, there was also a hose attached to the pole, that would shoot water at you. My boyfriend and I had been joined by my co-workers, Alex, Casey, and Leila. I warned them all to not touch the objects attached to the street signs. We all laughed about them being prank jokes. Notes: I have no idea why my subconscious was thinking about this. Foods Eaten: Shrimp Fried Rice Dream Location: Outside in between an elementary and middle school, likely in New York The Dream: I was at a family reunion for my Mom's side of the family, presumably in New York, as that's where most of those family reunions are held. The reunion is outside, in a grassy area, but there are two, large brick buildings on each side of the designated area. Somehow I knew they were both schools, though they weren't any school I went to or was familiar with. There was a small river running straight through the field, and there were monkey bars that crossed over the river. I went to the monkey bars with my pregnant cousin, Rachel. She went up first, swiftly crossing to the other side. I climbed up the ladder, but just rested against the first one. There was no way I was getting across without falling in the river. Rachel asked if I was coming, I told her there was no way. ...

Notes: This one was slightly sporadic. The beginning is a bit gruesome. Foods Eaten: Taco Salad Dream Location: Inside a video game, inside a random house, and outside a twisted version of my house. The Dream: First, I was playing a very twisted video game with my sister. We were actual characters, inside of the video game... not actually using controllers of any sort. There wasn't terribly much of a plot line, but the characters were supposed to represent some sort of hunter, each having a pet dog. The objective of the game was to get to the next level by finding the hidden upgrade dog in each level and catching it to become yours. This doesn't sound so bad, except, in order to catch it, you had to kill the dog. Then you had to rip out the dog's entrails to be used as some sort of magical armor, which allowed you to summon whatever type of dog the organ/intestines armor came from. At any rate, my sister and I were playing and about to finish the first level. I ...

Notes: ... Foods Eaten: Eggplant Parmesan Dream Location: A strange version of my boyfriend's house The Dream: I was in what was obviously my boyfriend's house, though it looked nothing like it. I was sitting on a couch when my boyfriend walked in the room. He had my cell phone in his hand, which he promptly handed to me, and then said, "I just read 200 text messages in your phone." I got extremely paranoid and afraid he had read something that he shouldn't have, even though there is nothing incriminating in my phone.

Notes: This is some continuation of yesterday's scatter-brain-ism. There was some sort of plot in the dream, but it didn't make it to my memory. Foods Eaten: Buffalo Chicken with Bleu Cheese Sammich Dream Location: A unfamiliar neighborhood, unfamiliar body of water, and my house The Dream: I was in a moving vehicle (I'm not sure if it was a car or what, and no idea if there was someone driving it) . My buddy from high school, Matt (aka Penguin) , was in the car with me, along with another unidentified person. I distinctly remember driving down a hill in an unfamiliar neighborhood. It had recently snowed, the roads in the neighborhood had none stuck to them, but all the lawns of the houses were blanketed in snow. We drove outside the neighborhood, and I specifically remember taking a right turn. We went down another hill, but I looked behind us, and at the top of the hill was a very fancy looking house. I saw someone behind the house somehow making a vertical snow...

Notes: Another scatter-brained dream. Foods Eaten: Fruit Smoothie Dream Location: No where recognizable. The Dream: (I'm just going to write paragraphs for each of these, because I can't seem to recall the sequence of events. They all just seem like mismatched ideas.) I'm in a family room with my dad. Apparently, I'd collected some loose change and dollar bills from around the house and asked him to deposit them into the bank for me. But he said he counted the money I gave him and it didn't add up right, he said there was some missing from a box. He started making accusations of someone stealing the money from me. (I'm not sure how this makes sense in hindsight,) but I told him that I had added the money from the box to the entire total. He accepted that as fact and said it all added up right after that. I'm riding a horse down a street, it's dark out. I don't seem to have an objective, but I get to a cul-de-sac where my sister is standi...

Notes: I don't remember a lot of this one, but what I do remember just seems weird. Like my subconscious is trying to sneak things into my head. Foods Eaten: Pesto Pizza Dream Location: Unfamiliar house/building The Dream: I am in a basement. I'm not sure what I'm doing there, but there are jail cells, and apparently some of my friends had to stay the night in them. I'm not obligated to be there, I'm just walking around. The guards eventually let my friends out of the cells. My friends walk out, happy, but then they just disappear. Now I am in a room with strategically placed windows. I don't seem to have a mission, I'm just walking around the room. I suddenly notice something move outside one of the windows through the corner of my eye. I look and see nothing, but I can sense that it is a person. I go back to pacing around the room, and then it happens again. But I get a better look this time, and definitely make out the shape of a male person. I s...

Notes: Finally had an excessively vivid and detailed dream. Foods Eaten: Eggnog Dream Location: It was at a sort of strip mall, outside. Lots of stores. The thing that seemed most out of place in hindsight was that there was a stadium attached to the strip mall... with a regular sort of store entrance. The Dream: I was at CVS with my dad. I'm not totally sure why I was there, but I knew my dad was dropping me of at a UNC basketball game after we left. I also knew that the stadium where the basketball game was at was right next to the CVS. My dad asked me if I was ready to go, I told him to hold on a second. I was walking through the aisles until I got to the back of the store and noticed that they had a relatively nice looking buffet bar. There was tons of food, but I was suddenly looking specifically for yogurt, which was conveniently lined against the back of the buffet. Notes: My memory of this dream is interesting. I remember tons of pieces of the dream, but I seem to not remember the parts that would piece it together. So it seems just like a bunch of random, separate thoughts. Foods Eaten: Eggnog Dream Location: Boyfriend's basement, some sort of Tavern, a hotel room? The Dream:  I was sitting on a couch in my boyfriend's basement. He was sitting next to me. I felt crappy, I was stuffed up and sneezing. I knew I had a cold... I'm in a tavern of some sort. It's a party, I guess. My boss is there and a handful of other people that I couldn't put a name to. I have a drink or two, and begin dancing on the table we were sitting at. After my dance, I promptly rush myself out the door and head back to my boyfriend's house, worrying the whole time that he will think I am wasted. But now I'm watching some girl in a hotel room. She is sitting on the bed, and she has a kid with her. I'm not sure if it's her kid,...

Notes: You know you've played too many video games when... Foods Eaten: Eggnog Dream Location: Inside a video game? The Dream: I had just logged into a game I used to play (and probably mentioned before in dreams) , called Avalon. One of my friends that also play, Christian, immediately ran up to me (in his character form) to greet me. He was excited to see me, asking where I'd been. I don't remember answering him. Somehow my boyfriend was also there, even though he doesn't play Avalon. I ran up to him and showed him that we could use "runes" to "level up" our "skills" like in Sacred 2. I remember exclaiming at him, "No wonder we suck at this game so much! We didn't even know about the runes!" No clue what else happened.

Notes: It was really weird, I saw a black smudge mark (probably from my eye makeup) on my arm while I was in the shower this morning, and it triggered my memory for this dream. Foods Eaten: Eggnog and Cookies! Dream Location: Foresty area, Hotel? The Dream: I was in a car with my parents, we were driving through a very grassy and foresty area, with a river running beside the path we were on. It wasn't a solid road, just a dirt path. It was pouring rain, we could barley see out the windows of the car, but I pointed out some sort of clear tube/tunnel that crossed over the river. It had water running through it, it looked sort of like a water slide. We drove past a clearing that had tons of mushrooms in it. I remember someone talking about it for a minute, but I don't think it was anyone in the car, and I don't know what they said. Next thing I know, I am in a large room (imaybe a hotel lobby?) with my best friend, Mary, and our other friend, Angela. They are both a...

Notes: So, my boyfriend and I bought the game Sacred 2 for xbox this weekend, and we probably spent about 50% of the weekend playing it, so I'm pretty sure this is where that came from, even though I don't remember almost any of the dream. Foods Eaten: Chicken Alfredo Dream Location: Nowhere recognizable The Dream: All I remember was standing around a huge dragon with a bunch of other people. My boyfriend was there, and we were both attacking the dragon. I was floating in the air above the dragon's head, I remember seeing a health bar over it... No clue what else happened.

Notes: To be honest, I'm not even sure if this is worth mentioning, because the title of this journal is seriously all I remember about the dream. I know there was something with underwear. I don't know why, I don't know where and I don't know why...

Notes: I'm really failing with the dream memory lately... Foods Eaten: Hot Buffalo Wings Dream Location: Large Building/Mall? The Dream: I was immersed in a TV show or movie, I think. I was watching Agent Scully, from the X-files, standing with three other girls. They appeared to be outside of a large building, probably a hotel. The three girls caught a bus or taxi to go somewhere, Scully said she would catch up with them, and started running after the bus in her high heels. Suddenly, I was in a large mall, with my little sister. We had just run up an escalator, and ran into a large department store. There were shelves surrounding us, and they were stacked high with cans of soup. My sister grabbed a can of chicken noodle soup and exclaimed, "OH! I looove chicken noodle soup!" Most of the rest of the guts of this dream are lost in my memory. The dream ended with an actual credit roll, right before the alarm clock woke me up.

Notes: This was the most vivid dream I've recalled having in a couple days. I had one the day before this, but I forgot to update and that dream has now been sucked into the memory void. Foods Eaten: Salad and Onion Soup Dream Location: It was on some sort of gorgeous mountain, I remember it with great detail. It was tree-less, but covered in brilliant green grass, except for the snow-capped top. The Dream: I was standing next to a path that leads to a creek in my backyard. I was with a couple of my relatives (though I don't remember which ones specifically), we were waiting for my parents. Apparently they were on a bike ride, because we were only paying attention to people that biked past on the path, announcing "not them" as each one passed. After a few moments, I finally see my mom and dad on the path in the distance. They talked to each other for a minute, but it was odd. I could see my mom as two people, they both looked exactly the same, but they represe...

Notes: I had this dream a couple weeks ago, but failed to write it down. Oddly, I was looking at someone's facebook page when it sparked the memory back in my head. Foods Eaten: Don't Remember Dream Location: At a friend's apartment (I've never actually been to) The Dream: (I'm sure there was a preface to this, but this is where my belated memory remembers) I'm inside a friend from college, Rob's, house. I know he had been dating a girl that I have never met before, Samantha, for a couple of years now (oddly, when I had this dream, it was a couple days after they broke up, but in the dream, they were still together) . She wasn't there, and Rob and I were just chilling and chatting. The conversation we were having evolved from just friendly chit chat to him admitting he had some attraction to me as more than friends, and had since college. He just never acted on it. I didn't act awkward or anything, I think I actually felt somewhat flatter,...

Notes: Grrr... another work dream? Foods Eaten: Enchilada, Quesedilla Dream Location: Not a clue The Dream: I was on my way to a meeting with my coworker, Alex. I had a sketch of a redesign for a page of our company's website that I was working on, Alex was going to give me some feedback and tell me what he needed on the page. We were meeting at some restaurant, I was apparently walking there. To the left of the sidewalk I was on, there was a huge/tall fence, holding back hundreds of people. They were holding signs, and rallying (I presume this was some leftovers in my head from going to Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear in DC on Saturday) . When I got to the restaurant, it was just a bunch of picnic tables with waitress walking around. I sat down at one of them to wait for Alex, and this girl I barely know, Jessica, walks up to my table and sits down.
