Allisnakor

Notes: My experiment of setting an alarm clock one hour before I need to get up seems to be giving actual results. I am having more and more lucid moments in my dreams, it would seem. Foods Eaten: Chicken Alfredo Dream Location: Not really sure The Dream: It was sort of in my old bedroom and sort of not, as it was outside. But there was teal carpet on the floor, like in the old bedroom. I was sitting on a futon that also was in that room. TJ was standing underneath what appeared to be some sort of shed with a porch. The porch had a structural support bar running horizontally under it. As I was examining it, I noticed a large patterned snake had coiled itself around it and was slowly migrating in TJ's direction. Knowing TJ doesn't like snakes, I told him "Uhh, TJ, you should move." He looked up and the snake was now in his face. It appeared to be a copperhead, and I could tell TJ was considerably concerned. He ended up moving next to me on the futon, but the sna...

Boat Dreams

Notes: I'm really slacking with updating this lately... been busy. I've been trying a new method - setting two alarms in the morning, spread an hour apart. The objective here has been to try to induce more lucid dreams and improve dream recollection. I think if I would actually wake up and write the dream that I remember down when the first alarm goes off, I would have higher success ratios. But I do notice that after the first alarm, I tend to be more aware and wonder about a lot more things. Foods Eaten: Eggplant Parm Dream Location: On a boat The Dream: I was laying on a bed that wasn't my own, or a familiar one at all. I believe I had just woken up. I sat up and noticed a small round window. Peering out it, I saw beautiful large blue ocean waves. TJ was in the room with me, and I immediately pointed the waves out to them saying, "Wow! The current is rough today." He agreed. Pondering out loud I said, "I'm surprised I don't have sea sickne...

Proposal?

Notes: I blame food poisoning on this one. Foods Eaten: Nothing. Dream Location: No where totally recognizable. The Dream: The sole thing I remember about this dream was I was sitting at a small, round cafe table with TJ. We were having a typical joking around conversation, but it ended up turning into talk about how all our friends are getting married and how my older cousins on my mom's side were married. I was expecting TJ to give me his typical response of, "Don't even think about it." But instead he said something along the lines of, "C'mon lets do it. Will you marry me?" I went through a moment of complete confusion (really I should have recognized that I was dreaming at this point). I started to counter with, "We've only been dating for four months." He replied with "Well what do we have to lose? We've known each other for years." I was still more shocked than anything, but didn't need more convincing. I sai...

Ocean Church

Notes: If only lucidity had clicked. Foods Eaten: Way too much fondue. Dream Location: The Beach The Dream: I was walking along a very large and very vacant sandy shore. The ocean was a few yards away, with a few droningly small waves. I passed underneath a pier or bridge of sorts, and as I was walking under it, I looked out into the ocean... and saw a large brick church. It had a huge double door entrance with a circular stained window above. The church was about a foot underwater, and though it didn't look like it had been abandoned or forgotten about, it certainly didn't look used either. I recall thinking, "That's an odd place for a church? I wonder what it's doing here?" But not giving it much of another thought. I continued walking along the beach for a minute, then sat down. TJ was now with me and I was talking to him, though I don't know what about. I reached out and drew TJ's initials (TJM) into the sand with my finger. After writing...

What's That Smell?

Notes: Oddly random. Foods Eaten: Steak Dream Location: TJ's room/house The Dream: I was definitely in TJ's house, I think it was his bedroom - but it wasn't arranged the same. His bed was against the right wall of the room, and I don't recall seeing any other furniture. TJ's mom was laying on her back on the bed lazily. She was smoking a cigarette and talking to me, she seemed rather depressed about something. When she finished her cigarette, she went straight for another one. This continued on for a few minutes, and I think I started hinting that she should stop smoking... I appeared in another room, which was definitely TJ's, and in the correct arrangement. TJ was sitting in his computer chair and I was on his bed against the wall. He reached over his desk to grab something, and as he did so, I smelled cigarettes. Apparently TJ did as well, as he started sniffing the air. He turned to me and asked, "Do you smell that?" I said, "Yeah. ...

Really Late for Work

Notes: I really hate this kind of dream. Foods Eaten: Mexican Rice Dream Location: My Room The Dream: I had just woken up and gotten out of bed. TJ was still laying in bed and I went and did my typical morning routine getting ready for work, clothed myself, washed my face, brushed teeth, showered, etc. I had a few minutes before I needed to leave, so I hopped on my computer to check my daily websites and email. (I have a vague memory of being in my kitchen talking to my mom at some point, but I can't remember whether that happened before or after getting on my computer.) While I was browsing my computer, I noticed that the time said 3:50 PM. I immediately freaked out, realizing I was extremely late for work. I began trying to come up with reasons to email my boss about why I was so late while I rushed to gather my stuff to leave - except then I realized that if I left at 3:50, I wouldn't even get to my office until 5:00. I continued having a freak out until I think ...
