Scenes from my Dreams

Notes: I quite literally JUST woke up from this. I kept some odd sleeping hours yesterday/last night. More on that later. Foods Eaten: Uhh, I had some mixed nuts about 30 minutes before this nap. The Dream: I was walking around what appeared to be a large and pretty upscale hotel lobby. The entire interior was a deep sapphire blue color, and there was an elegant spiral staircase in the middle. I recall walking up the stairs and ending, then walking back down them and through the lobby again with my parents. Except this time someone called my name out from the stairwell. Looking up, a male, a familiar face that I can't seem to put a name to, made eye contact with me. He appeared to take off running down the stairs toward me, while I made my way back to the stairs to run up them to him. We must have missed each other and I got distracted by something else, as I ended up in a sort of break room type area. The left wall had a microwave and small fridge with a nice looking brown co...

Notes: This was definitely one of my more humorous dreams as of late. I laughed a little bit when I woke up from it, but yet another night where I had multiple dreams after a few days of none. Foods Eaten: Greek Salad Dream Location: Department Store... sort of The Dream: I had just walked into a large building, with white walls and tiled floors. TJ was with me, we were casually walking along, holding hands. On each side of us were platforms, which I guess were supposed to be like stores. They had signs hanging from the ceiling labeling what each platform was for. We passed one that said "Frame Sale" over it, and I pointed it out to TJ explaining that my company must be having their monthly frame sale. The next platform was labeled "Clearance Dresses". This one, of course caught my eye, and I had to go browse. Getting on to the platform, it turned into more of an enclosed store. The entry way was nothing but a flight of steps, which we walked up. Notes: I'm now pulling dreams out of the backlog I have in my phone. Sometimes when I wake up, so I don't forget the dream, I write a note to myself in my phone with just brief words or sentences to spark my dream memory. Unfortunately, this method is only half effective, as I never can remember the dream in full detail, just what the keywords were referring to. Dream Location:  Some sort of park The Dream: I was walking around in a beautiful grassy field. There were trees scattered about, with parking benches and dirt pathways here and there. There was a pond in the distance, and people walking around. I stumbled across my cousin, Josh, and one of my hair dye inspirations, who I only know as Urs. There were some wooden barrels nearby, filled with paints. On the ground next to the barrels, were large rolled out pieces of white paper. The three of us got into the barrels of paint, and began finger painting.

Notes: ... Foods Eaten: Greek Salad, Frozen Yogurt Dream Location: On a boat The Dream: The first thing I can remember was swimming around some very clear blue ocean water. I had my camera and my huge new lens, which I was about to take some pictures with. My Aunt Sue had just climbed up a ladder onto the back of a platform, which I'm not sure was a part of a regular old speed boat or a part of the cruise ship we were apparently on. Whatever the case, she posed, as I shot a couple pictures with my camera. The camera was going slow, and I kept missing because my Aunt was moving by the time the picture was actually being taken. I checked to see if the flash was open, because sometimes that causes my camera to be slower. Naturally, it was, so I closed it. I was then able to take my pictures with no flaws. Notes: ... Foods Eaten: Steak and potato Dream Location: In a strange classroom and somewhere at a very pretty outdoors location The Dream: I was in a rather vacant and desolate seeming room. The floors were old and mangled hardwood, the walls were in rough condition too. There was a crappy rust color cough in the room, that I was sitting on with TJ. There were a number of other people in the room, though I'm not sure who they were. TJ's mom appeared in the room and started lecturing everyone about Sex Education. I immediately began feeling awkward, and fortunately TJ quickly complained about how weird it was for her to be telling us about this stuff and how he's already heard it a million times. I remember his mom arguing back briefly... Then somehow I ended up in a very lush field of thick green grass. Notes: Dream memory failure... Foods Eaten: Steak Dream Location: No clue The Dream: I don't remember much at all... I remember looking in a mirror and seeing my face covered in a terrible case of acne. And I remember my cousins Josh and Chris being around.

Notes: Not that this has anything to do with what happened in my strange dream, but one of our family dogs passed away last night. =( Foods Eaten: Lots of bread and a salad Dream Location: In an upstairs hallway of a house, outside The Dream: I was roller skating around a hardwood floor that seemed to be the upstairs of a house - though I'm not sure who's. My old school friend, Tana, was with me, also roller skating around. We were talking, though I don't remember the conversation. There was a staircase to the right, which Tana disappeared down. I went to follow, but the staircase seemed to have led me straight outside - with Tana nowhere to be seen. Instead, I found my soon-to-be cousin, Debra. We began chatting, though I, as usual, don't remember what about. I do remember her pointing across the very lush lawn that we were now in, at her fiancée (my actual cousin), Josh. I then remember her talking about creating framed presentations for all of his photogr...

Notes: Backlog of dreams I wrote down while I was on the cruise... Dream Location: Unfamiliar house The Dream: I was standing on a wooden deck of a house. My cousin Chris walked past me, informing me that there was some sort emergency going on - a corpse had just been discovered in the backyard. There were a bunch of people there examining the "crime" scene. My phone rang, and I answered it. It was a girl, who was rude, and did not even bother to say hello. She simply said, "I know who you are." I proceeded to inform her that she was wrong, and she did not know me. She went on to say, "I know your last boyfriend was Jarrett." By this point, I was extremely confused, as I have never dated anyone named Jarrett. I replied with, "Um, no it wasn't." She continued to rant on about a story of Jarrett and how I had stolen him from her friend. As she continued talking, she actually materialized in front of me, rather than just being over the ...

Notes: ... Foods Eaten: Mashed Potatoes & Ribs Dream Location: Not fully sure, inside a car at some point The Dream: I don't remember much in particular about this dream. I know the my co-worker Dan and his wife Lynn were there, and two of "his" kids were there - but the two kids were actually my cousins Mary Anne and Nate. At some point, we were in a car. Dan was driving, his wife in the passenger seat. I was in the middle of the back seat, with Mary Anne to my left and Nate to my right. I think we were trying to run away from something... like the end of the world maybe. I remember we stopped somewhere, everyone got out of the car. I think we were camping for a night. I'm not sure why, maybe I dropped something, but I ended up having to crawl underneath the car for whatever reason. When I got underneath it, the car started lowering itself, trapping me under it and then sealing itself to the road. I was struggling to find a way out, with no luck... a...

Notes: Alarm clock woke me up, and I knew I'd had a dream - it took me a good five minutes to go through a million different thoughts about what it could be before a thought about a dog shaped cake crossed my mind, and that was it. Foods Eaten: Eggnog Dream Location: Airport The Dream: I was walking down an airport terminal with my cousin Rachel. There were a bunch of guys I didn't really know following us. Rachel walked into a big room that branched off the terminal, but it was set up like a classroom. There were lots of tables with chairs behind them, all facing the same direction. Teenagers were sitting at them. Rachel sat down at one of the desks, and I followed her. I don't think I sat down on anything, but I don't remember standing either. Actually, I don't remember a class happening at all after that, but I knew time had passed. We got up and Rachel walked to a table across the room. There was a guy there that I had never met, but he took the for...

Notes: I have no idea why my subconscious was thinking about this. Foods Eaten: Shrimp Fried Rice Dream Location: Outside in between an elementary and middle school, likely in New York The Dream: I was at a family reunion for my Mom's side of the family, presumably in New York, as that's where most of those family reunions are held. The reunion is outside, in a grassy area, but there are two, large brick buildings on each side of the designated area. Somehow I knew they were both schools, though they weren't any school I went to or was familiar with. There was a small river running straight through the field, and there were monkey bars that crossed over the river. I went to the monkey bars with my pregnant cousin, Rachel. She went up first, swiftly crossing to the other side. I climbed up the ladder, but just rested against the first one. There was no way I was getting across without falling in the river. Rachel asked if I was coming, I told her there was no way. ...

Notes: This was the most vivid dream I've recalled having in a couple days. I had one the day before this, but I forgot to update and that dream has now been sucked into the memory void. Foods Eaten: Salad and Onion Soup Dream Location: It was on some sort of gorgeous mountain, I remember it with great detail. It was tree-less, but covered in brilliant green grass, except for the snow-capped top. The Dream: I was standing next to a path that leads to a creek in my backyard. I was with a couple of my relatives (though I don't remember which ones specifically), we were waiting for my parents. Apparently they were on a bike ride, because we were only paying attention to people that biked past on the path, announcing "not them" as each one passed. After a few moments, I finally see my mom and dad on the path in the distance. They talked to each other for a minute, but it was odd. I could see my mom as two people, they both looked exactly the same, but they represe...

Notes: I swear this dream felt like it just kept going and going forever... Foods Eaten: I've forgotten... Dream Location: Hotel? Beach? House? Ocean... The Dream: I'm laying on a hardwood floor in a sleeping bag. Looking around, I see my sister in the room and my cousin, Rachel. I get up and walk into another room, there are more people there, all relatives. I notice my cousin, Dave, and my Aunt Sue. We appear to be in a hotel room. The door to the room opens, it's my dad. He tells us all to be quiet, something about the guy on the floor below us wanting to kill somebody. I'm not sure how I ended up where I was next, but I was standing in waste deep ocean water with my mom and dad. They were talking to me, maybe arguing, but I can't remember. I decide to walk into shore. When I get there, I notice an upscale looking beach house. There is a set of stairs outside, leading to a porch and the entrance of the house. Notes: I think I dream more in the morning... like right before the alarm clock goes off. Because I could swear I had this dream in between a 10 minutes snooze. Foods Eaten: Grilled Chicken Sammich Dream Location: South Carolina, Neighbor's House The Dream: I was in South Carolina, visiting my cousin Josh. I'd met him outside on a main street of a city during night time - Josh was taking photos of the night life (he is a professional photographer). We went back to his house after not too long, but his house turned out to be my next door neighbor's house. As we walked down the driveway, a girl came to open the door. She was a very pretty girl, and I was sort of surprised. I looked at my cousin and said, "THAT'S your roomate?!" He just grinned and said "Yup!" in reply. I said, "Wow, she's hot!" (I have no idea where that came from...) Josh laughed and responded with, "I know, isn't she?!" (It really sounded just li...

Notes: So usually my boyfriend wants to have nothing to do with my dreams. Last time I told him one of them, he declared me insane and told me to stop telling him my crazy dreams. Well, last night, I guess he wanted to test out the Bleu Cheese dream theory (as in, he heard bleu cheese makes for crazy dreams). I happily obliged! And I dunno if he had any crazy ones, but here's mine. Also, this dream "felt" really intense and in the dream I felt scared - especially at the beginning, but my dreams don't actually scare me anymore. My boyfriend and I were curled up together on his couch, watching X-files. It was an episode about aliens living on earth, and the government's conspiracy theory to destroy them. Notes: Pretty sure Mac n' Cheese is the cause of some of my weirdest and longest dreams. And if your curious about why I dream so specifically of Pomeranian dogs, I really want one, but parents nor boyfriend will let me keep one at their house right now... I clearly enjoy dreaming about them though. Foods Eaten: Mac n' Cheese Dream Location: At a hotel or apartment complex that was right on a very large lake. (The place seemed familiar... but I can't identify it) The Dream: I was in either an upscale hotel room or an apartment/condo. All the furniture was very fancy, there was a balcony outside, and the outer most walls were lined with windows and elegant white curtains. The carpet was a plush white, and my cat, Cinnamon, plus a Pomeranian puppy were sitting on it, along with two other dogs (that I now can't identify in my awake state) . Foods Eaten: Don't Remember Dream Location: New York, Kernersville The Dream: I was in New York, at one of my mom's annual Family Reunions. As usual, my younger cousins, Emily and Elise, were clinging to me the entire day. They needed to use the restroom, so I said I would walk them there. On the way, Emily lost her shoe somehow... she ran off into the woods to find it. A few minutes later, she came out of the trees and continued walking with Elise and me to the bathroom. Apparently the bathroom we were walking to was inside a very upscale hotel. There was a lady managing a window outside (kind of like a movie theater). I asked her if my cousins could use the bathroom, she said I would have to pay for tickets to get in. Emily and Elise were chattering, and I didn't understand or hear how much the lady said I had to pay, so I just handed her some money from my purse. She gave me some change back in pe...

Notes: Nothing of mention. Foods Eaten: Brocoli, Cheese, Chicken Casserole Dream Location: My house The Dream: I was having a party with my coworkers, the members on the Creative Team only. My boss, Jenn, Granger and I were all standing in my downstairs hallway, my boss was talking about letting Granger go. I was only vaguely listening, but Granger didn't seem to care too much. She was just asking why and what the problem was. I remember suddenly feeling bad, because I had forgot to invite our other Creative Team-mate, Leila. I didn't mention it out loud because no one else seemed to notice. I got a phone call, it was my dad. He told me to clean up the house a bit and get ready for my Aunt Loretta and Uncle Dave, plus their three kids (my cousins) to come over. I said okay and hung up. All my coworkers disappeared after the phone call, and I went up to my room. I looked out my window and there was a fold out table set up in my driveway. Everyone that was coming to vi...

Notes: I hate this kind of dream because when I wake up, I have to bolt to the bathroom to avoid any embarrassing moments. Foods Eaten: Turkey Sub Dream Location: Unsure, Inside a Car, Inside a Random House The Dream: I was sitting in the back seat of a van... and there was another seat behind me, where this guy who claimed himself to be one of my cousins was sitting. He looked like a guy I knew (not more than by name) in high school, Christian Tardeau. Nothing of significance happened. Relocate to a random house, I don't know who's or why I was there, but I was focused on staring out a window at the pool in the backyard. My cousin, Rachel, was swimming in it. For some reason, I noted that she was wearing the swim suit version of a purple and black dress I own. Suddenly, I really had to pee. I ran to the bathroom and sat down, still looking out the window at my cousin. I was unable to get the relief I needed. Woke up and ran to the bathroom.

Notes: New York has apparently embedded itself in my subconscious, can't think of another explanation for why I keep dreaming about it. Foods Eaten: Turkey Sub, Green Tea Dream Location: New York, Upscale House in "Virginia", Inside a Car The Dream: We were somewhere in New York, a relative's house I'm guessing. We were getting ready to leave, and I was plotting how to drive north to what was Virginia in my dream to look at a 370z for sale. The next part of the dream I recall is me driving north, it was slightly strange because my parents were with me in the car, but didn't seem to care that I was driving north instead of south - the direction we needed to be going. Eventually we go to the house where the 370z was being kept. The garage door was open, and we caught a glimpse of the car, then were greeted by a middle age woman who invited us inside for tea. We politely declined, insisting that we just wanted a quick look at the car and then had to be...
