Parties & Pokemon in New Zealand

Foods Eaten: A couple jalapeno-pickle chips as a midnight snack and a cup of chai tea. Notes: I had this one between 8:00 and 9:00 am, after my alarm went off. The Dream: I was in a small house, more like an old trailer with wooden walls, floors, and decorations from the 80's. My family was there, I had just given dad a gift. It was a large photo print, though I don't remember what it was of. He had sprawled it across the floor and as he was looking at it he asked if I could get some paint to fix some spots. When I went to look at what he was talking about, I saw that some areas that should've printed green had printed with pinkish-red spots instead. I blamed it on the printer... I know there was more to this snippet of dream as I remember being in a parking lot full of cars with my sister and I remember being on a bed in a bedroom with someone but I don't remember any other details... ...Next thing I know,  I was at a party in a familiar house (I now recognize it to...

The Domes

Foods Eaten: Greek Salad The Dream: I was driving a car with Trevor and my parents as passengers. We were going somewhere called "The Domes." I had been paying attention to the road, and although my family was exchanging conversation, I wasn't absorbing any of the surroundings. At some point, I finally looked up and realized the road was going through these golfball-esque domes. At some point we stopped and got out while inside of one of the domes. There was a bunker-like building that we were walking around. My sister was now there, too. For some reason, we were walking around turning door handles trying to get into other rooms, but they were all locked. Except one, which my sister called out to me saying, "This one isn't locked!" But when we went to turn the handle, it got stuck halfway - like the feeling of someone else trying to turn it from the other side of the door at the same time. We backed away and sure enough, a tall girl dressed in a leather...

The Storm

Notes: After just two hours of sleep, I was rudely woken up by the sound of a glass falling over in the kitchen. Trevor was already at work, so I was immediately freaked out that someone else was in the house, but my dog was on the bed with me and looked just as confused by the noise. If there was a person in the house, he would've been barking incessantly, so I didn't worry about it and went back to sleep after recalling the equally annoying dream that I'd been woken up from. Foods Eaten: Taco Salad The Dream: Trevor were in a house that more closely resembled the house I grew up in rather than the one we currently live in. It was storming wickedly, with frequent flashes of lightning and cracks of thunder shortly following (I wondered if it was actually storming while this dream was going on... it is storm season in Florida and has been doing daily lately). The wind was also whipping around, to the point that it caused a tree to fall. The tree fell on the roof of the ...

Two Moons

Notes: Active brain last night, don't quite recall what connected where. The Dream: ..I was in a room, sitting on a bed. Unsure who's room, but it seemed like a hotel room layout. The bed was a double and there was a second double bed to the right, and a mini-kitchen past that with counters along the far wall. I was wearing a wedding ring, but after having a conversation with my dad, I took the ring off and threw it in a nearby trash can. It didn't seem to be a sentimental or emotional moment. At some point I ended up with another wedding ring on and Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch walked in the room to tell me that the person I had just married had died. I removed the ring and threw it in the trash, as well, proclaiming that it must not have been meant to be. -- (I woke up, shared the briefs of that dream with Trevor, then fell back asleep after he left for work.) I was driving in a bright yellow Challenger on an interstate. It was at night and another car w...
Notes: Not feeling great, took a random afternoon nap... The Dream: (I'm pretty sure the beginning had to do with a conversation at my boyfriend's parent's house last night... his dad wanted us to check on his sister because she hadn't replied to any texts that day.)  I don't know where I was to start, but I had my phone in my hand. I just received a text from Trevor's dad asking us to check in on his sister Sandy. I had this terrible feeling in my gut, like something was really wrong, so I did a quick Facebook look up and saw people were commenting things like heart emoji's and "We'll miss you," on her profile photo. I decided I needed to go check on her. Although I don't know how I got there, I ended up walking down a long gravel road, clearly in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by forest. I could see a small little house through the woods in the distance that resembled Sandy's house, but something got jumbled along the way. ...

Dam of People

Notes: Is it possible to be allergic to cereal? I get EXTREMELY tired after eating it in the morning, when I was otherwise fine. Had to go take a nap and I was only awake for an hour! Foods Eaten: Cereal The Dream: I was at Trevor's work building, in the cafeteria area. One of the employees gave me a little white wicker basket wrapped in plastic and full of stuff, as if it was a welcoming gift. A small, clear jar of a thick liquid that looked kind of like cotton candy caught my eye and I pulled it from the basket. I turned it upside down, watching how the liquid moved, trying to figure out what it was. It almost looked edible but it also looked kind of like soap. I held it up to another employee and asked, "What is this?" The person just smiled in response. Although I wanted to eat it, my lack of knowing what it was stopped me. I walked from the kitchen to the bathrooms. An older woman held the door open for me to let me in and as I walked down the bathroom hall, I...
Notes: It's getting annoying that I can remember so many different parts of a dream, but not the bridges that connect one part to the next. Foods Eaten: Greek Salad The Dream: (Everything is out of order, I don't know what came first in the sequences, going off intuition...) I was standing in a dirt parking lot. There didn't appear to be any major buildings around, and didn't look like anyone had parked in the lot for years. I was with a group of people (friends, I think) and one of them was leading a horse. My sister was standing far opposite us, on the other side of the parking lot. She was riding one of her horses and a few of the other girls that work at her barn were with her, also on horseback. The person near me that had a horse wanted to let it go check out the other horses. Somehow my sister heard and advised that it was a bad idea and not to do that. The person let the horse off its lead anyway and it bolted across the parking lot toward my sister. There ...

Nigil

Notes: For as much as I remember, I don't remember just as much of this dream. Foods Eaten: Spaghetti and like 2 bites of caramel ice cream right before bed. The Dream: I was walking down a trail that reminded me of one behind the house I grew up in. There was a group of people, I don't remember most of them, but I kept closest to my friend Josh (who I've never actually met in person) . Whatever walk we were going on was quite a long one, but eventually we got to a little gas station style mini mart. I don't recall opening any doors to get in the mini mart, but we were suddenly inside. I spotted an old high school friend, Lindy, sitting in a chair across the store. My old friend Tana was now with me as well, and I nudged her and said we should go surprise Lindy. We walked across the store in sat in some small wooden chairs that were arranged in a circle, where Lindy was. I sat in a chair that was diagonally across from Lindy. Tana sat to my right. I looked to my ...

(Some)one's Coming

Notes: We've been watching a lot of The Walking Dead lately... Also, I finally finished working on all the "urgent" things flying around in my head. I think my brain leaves room for dream memory when I have a clear mind. Foods eaten: Spaghetti The Dream: I was laying on a bed. My childhood best friend Mary was sitting on the edge of the bed next to me. We were joking and laughing like we hadn't spent a minute apart. I said to her, "I've known you over half my life." I don't recall her response... Next thing I know I was outside of a house on a street that felt familiar (I don't recognize the street at all in consciousness) .  I was staring at a house across the street with Trevor standing next to me. One of us refers to the house as "our neighbors." It had a pool behind a short fence, but the pool hadn't been used in so long that the water was greenish brown and the consistency of mud. Somehow my dog ended up in a different...

The Potluck

Notes: I mostly want to note that I watched a mini-documentary yesterday about a woman who was somewhat brutally killed by her boyfriend. She was somewhat of a hero, saving a younger girl in the process - and the video showed a photo of her post-mortem. I kept waking up last night, not because the woman was actually in my dreams, just because I would picture that exact photo in my sleep. I don't feel like she was trying to haunt me or anything, I wasn't generally scared, just genuinely disturbed and felt/feel sorry for the loss of her, despite not knowing her. Foods eaten: Stir Fry The Dream: I was in a building, it felt familiar, like a work environment (in consciousness, I don't recognize the building at all) . I was sitting at a round table when someone walked by and asked if I was coming to join the potluck. I must have agreed, but before leaving, I recall kneeling on the floor near a bookshelf. I want to say there were toys on the ground that I was playing with......

Lake Calls

Notes: Foods Eaten: ... The Dream: I was in North Carolina, visiting my parents. I was sitting on a bed, but I wasn't paying enough attention to recognize if it was familiar or unfamiliar surroundings. I was on the phone, talking to my friend James on speaker phone when my mom walked in the room and asked, "Who is this new guy you're on the phone with all the time?" I half smiled and replied, "Uhh... that's James." My mom gave me a condescending look and questioned, "Should you be on the phone with another man?" Annoyed, I exclaimed, "Mom!" She started to retort and I was now becoming embarrassed that James was still on speaker phone and listening to my mom and I getting heated, so I whispered into the phone, "I gotta go..." and hung up. After mom and I cooled down, I went outside. The surroundings were not my parents backyard, but more of a lake with a secluded beach. I walked into the shallows and sat down in the wa...

The Hall

The Dream: I was standing in a hall with a guy figure that I could not see in detail, but I knew was not my fiance. Though I don't directly recall it, my brain wants to say  he was "holding" me in a romantic manner. The guy gently took my hand and walked me up to an elegant bar down the hall. He took a seat at a bar stool, and I sat down next to him, noticing that his figure now looked like a real life version of the cartoon character Cyril from TV show "Archer". Though there were no other physical interactions with him, our togetherness was assumed to be a date. My phone was now sitting on the bar counter, and it vibrating gently, signifying a text message. I opened the message, and it was from my mom. The text read, "Is his [presumably referring to the guy I was with] car at the house?" I gave the question a significant moment of though before coming to the conclusion that we had driven "his" car, so I responded with an nondescript, ...

Chaotic Scavenger Chase

Notes: I feel like I've been having some intensely long, random dreams recently. It's kind of weird. Especially given that I'm remembering them so well. The Dream:  I was in a large room, with numerous other unidentified people around. We were about to start some sort of game. I seemed to understand what I was doing in dream state, but now that I'm awake I have no idea what the rules or objective were - I can only assume it was akin to a scavenger hunt. I headed out of the room, which lead directly onto an outdoor cement sidewalk. It seemed like it was on a college campus. I followed the sidewalk, which lead down a slight hill into an area heavily shaded by large trees. I continued following the path, until I was lead right into a house. I automatically knew my way around the house (though I cannot relate to it in waking world) . My sister and mother were there, and acting strange. They very vaguely told me I needed to help them dispose of something. They climbed ...

Good Luck

Notes: Another one I had a while ago and failed to transpose. Only details I remember are because of a text I sent to someone special. The Dream: I was standing in a mildly wooded area that was sort of the backyard of a house, which seemingly belonged to my parents (it was a familiar house in the dream, but I don't recognize any aspect of it in consciousness) . It was early evening out and there seemed to be a small get together going on at the house. I'm not sure what I was doing out in the woods, but an acquaintance of mine, Chris, suddenly appeared and approached me. He made small talk for a moment, but I zoned him out as I saw Derek walk out of the house. He took up conversation with some people that I didn't pay enough attention to to notice who they were, but I could see all of the silhouettes lit up as they were standing outside of a window. Chris was still trying to talk to me, I'm pretty sure he was making suggestive comments, but all of my attention was foc...

The Loose Tooth

Notes:  After previous dream, and before waking up, I had this one. And don't read if you have a fear of losing teeth. Or don't like gross things. Even writing this grossed me out a little bit. Foods Eaten:  Pretzels dipped in aforementioned cream cheese buffalo crab dip. The Dream: (Previous dream was me waking up from a dream...)  I fell back "asleep" , in the same single bed in my old bedroom at the house I grew up in. I again, went into the state of half awake, half asleep. As I gained some level of consciousness, I felt some strangeness in my bottom left canine tooth. I pushed my tongue against it, only to realize the tooth was loose. Of course, this caused considerable raise for concern, and I got up to go find my mom so she could take me to a dentist. Even though I don't recall being able to justify what time of day it was, I "just knew" it was in the middle of the night, and chances of a dentist being open were low. As I talked to my mom, ...

Dreams of Mom

Notes: Apparently if you eat cream cheese buffalo crab dip 30 minutes before sleeping, you dream a lot. Holy crap. Three dreams I remembered in one night? Might be a record... Foods Eaten: Pretzels dipped in aforementioned cream cheese buffalo crab dip. The Dream: I was laying in a single bed in my old bedroom at the house I grew up in. It was night time, and presumably I was in that phase between sleep and awareness. My eyes were closed, but I was mildly aware of my surroundings - it was dark out, in the middle of the night, but there was a storm. Even with my eyes closed I could see flashes of light and I could hear thunder. Suddenly, my mom came upstairs and began speaking, which fully "woke" me up. I told her that I had been having a dream about her and that actually hearing her voice woke me up... Little did I know I was still actually asleep...

Childhood Imagination

Notes:  Whoa. I didn't immediately remember this dream when I woke up, but it after recalling it it was kind of like meeting my inner child or something. The Dream: I was standing in the hallway of the basement of the house I grew up in/lived in for the vast majority of my life thus far. I was facing the room that had been my mom's office, and I walked into it. The room was arranged exactly as it had been when I lived there, down to the ratty old blue couch against the left wall. There were no lights on, but the computer on my mom's desk was emitting a soft glow making the room vaguely visible. I don't actually remember anyone else being in the basement with me, but I heard one of my family members say in a hushed panicked voice, "Hide! There is someone in the house!" Instinctively, I went to the closet that was in my mom's office. I quietly shut the door, but not quite all the way. As soon as I got in the closet I realized that I had picked the most ob...

The Elaborate Staircase

Notes: I quite literally JUST woke up from this. I kept some odd sleeping hours yesterday/last night. More on that later. Foods Eaten: Uhh, I had some mixed nuts about 30 minutes before this nap. The Dream: I was walking around what appeared to be a large and pretty upscale hotel lobby. The entire interior was a deep sapphire blue color, and there was an elegant spiral staircase in the middle. I recall walking up the stairs and ending, then walking back down them and through the lobby again with my parents. Except this time someone called my name out from the stairwell. Looking up, a male, a familiar face that I can't seem to put a name to, made eye contact with me. He appeared to take off running down the stairs toward me, while I made my way back to the stairs to run up them to him. We must have missed each other and I got distracted by something else, as I ended up in a sort of break room type area. The left wall had a microwave and small fridge with a nice looking brown co...

Bubble Door

Notes: Pretty wasteful use of lucidity, but hey, I went lucid, so I guess that's an improvement. Foods Eaten: A scavenged mix of chocolate, mixed nuts and Parmesan cheese... The Dream: I was standing in a pretty desolate looking room. The floor was a light gray, and the walls were a darker shade of gray. The place appeared to have been completely ransacked... a clutter of broken items around the perimeter of the room. I walked around, occasionally taking a closer look at a particular grouping of broken items, but before long I heard a distant throaty rumble noise. At first I paid it no mind, but it quickly got louder and I thought to myself, "Is that a tornado?" Immediately I called out for my family, "Mom? Dad? Mel? Are you guys here?" Quickening my pace, I began to search the house, hollering up and down staircases trying to make sure my family was safe. I wasn't feeling overly panicked, but since I wasn't getting a response I came to the conclusi...

What are you doing?!

Notes: I swear I remembered more of this... I forgot to write it down earlier today. The Dream: I was standing in a wooded area. There was a four door car parked near us, though there was seemingly no road for it to have traveled on. Nate (an ex-boyfriend) was with me, as was my mother and an old friend, Leroy. The atmosphere seemed very lighthearted. Nate was chit-chatting with my mom and I was catching up with Leroy, but suddenly I noticed Nate kiss my mother on the neck. I stopped focusing on anything else and just watched for a moment. I wasn't feeling jealous or even angry, even as he kissed up her neck and got closer to her lips. When he finally started to go for a full on lip kiss however, it suddenly occurred to me that something was very weird and I interrupted by saying, "Hey! What are you doing?" (I notice in my waking state that this is a form of semi-lucidness, but I didn't get quite there...)  The way it came out was still quite casual and non-accusat...
