Scenes from my Dreams

The Dream: I recall being at a large amphitheatre, and there was an obstacle course on the stage set up with stairs. There were races being held, to see who could run fastest from the back of the amphitheatre through to obstacle course and to the end first. Apparently I was involved in this race. Before starting, one of the other participants pointed out some stairs that I hadn't even seen. I said, "Ugh, we have to run through all this? No way I'm gonna win.." One of the organizers responded, "It's not just getting through, when you..." (I've failed to finish transposing this dream until months later and I don't recall the precise details anymore - only the concept, which is as follows...) I ended up running through the obstacle course at lightning speed. I remember the exit of it went through a garage, and there was some sort of fight for a key. I also recall their being fire pits, but inevitably, I did win the race.

Notes: ... Foods Eaten: Popcorn, Scotch The Dream: I was in my bedroom with Juice (Theo Rossi's character in Sons of Anarchy) . He looked at me sort of flatly and said, "This isn't going to work right now." I guess it was assumed we'd been dating , and I felt my heart sink a little bit when he said that, but wasn't truly upset. I simply just smiled at him and said, "Okay." He hugged me and then went out into the hallway and laid between it and my bedroom door. He seemed overly pensive, but wasn't saying much of anything. I think I was doing the laundry and I remember talking to my dad at some point, but that's about it...

Notes: Glad to be dreaming (and recalling) a little bit again. Foods Eaten: Broccoli The Dream: I remember being at the top of a large hill or mountain, that immediately dropped off into a cliff on the north side. All of my family members were there, and my dad was fascinated by the "crater". I seem to recall him trying to get to the other side, and my sister was helping him. My mom was hanging out near me. There was some sort of loud speaker system that called out a number. (This is where dream brain just kind of went along with and assumed things that don't make sense now looking at it from a waking state.)  I excitedly chimed, "Hey dad, isn't that your number?!" My dad looked down at a ticket stub in his hand with a number on it. (He never replied yes or no, it seemed it didn't matter whether it was or not his number...)  I said, "Hurry up! Go!" He quickly walked off with my sister in tow, while my mom and I stayed put. Though I can...

Notes: Very random celebrity appearance. I must be excited for his new album? Foods Eaten: Salad, a few rum and cokes The Dream: I was at my office, in a room with my boss and coworker, Nadia. I recall asking permission to take an extended lunch hour, which my boss was fine with. I somehow ended up sitting in my car in a parking lot outside of a mall. Mark Tremonti (guitarist for Alter Bridge/Creed) was now in my passenger seat. There seems to be a large gap in my memory but this is what I can recall... It had gotten late, and I'd forgotten about work until I got a text message from my boss that read something like, "When are you coming back? There's a lot to do and I'm really stressed out..." I replied to her with a lie of, "Sorry! We are on the way." But at that point,  Mark got out of my car and turned his attention to a crappy white car parked next to me - which was apparently his car. It was having troubles starting, and he had the hood up ...

Notes: It's been forever... I haven't been actively trying to dream recall lately. I strangely thing it's one more thing for my brain to do, even though I'm sleeping for it. My schedule has been so packed recently... Foods Eaten: Salad The Dream: ...as usual, I know there was more than this, I just don't know what...  I was standing on pavement, in somewhat of a rush. The pavement I was standing on seemed to be outside, but not far in front of me there was an enclosure with a garage door on the other side. I ran at it full speed, and just before I would've crashed into it, jumped in the air and took flight. I started to do a 180 to flip around and get out of the enclosure, but the garage door automatically opened, so I continued straight through it. I seem to recall talking to someone else, maybe my sister. You know how when you dream and sometimes you just have a realization that doesn't really come from anywhere, but you go with it anyway...?  I see...

Notes: Picked my lucid dreaming book back up, didn't read it last night, but the two nights before. Finally remembered a dream in somewhat better detail than late. Foods Eaten: Pretzels The Dream: I was in the entryway of my old next door neighbor's, Sue and Rory, house. My sister was there, and I seem to recall TJ being with me. We had just walked in and I wasn't sure whether to take my shoes off or not. Rory had just walked in the door as well, and took his shoes off. So I followed suite. Rory went to the kitchen where Sue was; TJ, my sister and I all followed... Then I was walking down a staircase behind a door, it was to a basement, though I seem to remember having to go outside to get to the door. My Aunt Sue was suddenly at the top of the stairs behind me. I remember walking down into the basement... Alarm woke me up.

Notes: As I was writing my last dream, I started recalling a little bit of what I think was a second dream from last night. Foods Eaten: Shrimp and Rice The Dream: I don't seem to remember myself actually being in this dream, I was just watching it all happen. There was a lady, older and sort of creepy. She had maintained a lot of her beauty, but looked sort of gaunt. She was dressed in a long white gown. I remember her walking into a bathroom and handling small pieces of chocolate (like rolos?). I think she was trying to get something in exchange for them... I think I was back to actually being in my own body now, though I seemed rather separated from my feelings (hard to explain...). I walked down the hall from the bathroom where the lady in white was. I walked through a doorway and around a corner, when suddenly a mummified body appeared in my face. It didn't seem to scare me in the slightest, but eyeing the mummy, it was missing both legs and arms, but was floating ...
