Hiding from the Post-Apocalyptic

The Dream: I remember being outside somewhere and walking in the opposite direction from a really massive line of people. I passed by the guitarist of Killswitch Engage (I think) and for whatever reason, swapped earplugs with him (it was a quick swap, like we were both already holding them in our hands and just reached out and did a high five exchange when I walked by). Continued walking, go to the end of whatever road we were on and it went from being in a populated and well taken care of city to being some desolate looking street. I remember a school bus across the middle of the road and a McDonalds that looked like it had been abandoned. Looked like video game graphics when there's a war going on, basically. There were other people with me at this point and they started pouring oil on everything... like we were running from something and creating blockages/deterrents. So the school bus gets set on fire, along with various other objects and buildings in the perimeter. We had p...

Movie and a Walk

Notes: I recently made some canvas art with "dream" written on it and hung it next to my bed as a morning reminder. I actually think it's help with dream recall. The Dream: I was in some sort of small restaurant, it was built in the center of a movie theater. The wings to each movie screening were around the restaurant, so if you stood in the middle and turned around, you'd see double doors in all directions. There was a bar area in the center, where I was standing when my friend/co-worker, Daniel, walked up to me as if he was meeting me. A woman bartender came up to us and asked what kind of menu we wanted. I looked and Daniel silently as if asking him if he wanted food or not and he said, "I'd rather eat after the movie." I wanted to eat at that moment, but I said, "Okay." and went along with it anyway. Instead, I tried to order a drink, asking for a "Dirty Shirley." The woman looked at me annoyed and confused and asked what was ...

Two Moons

Notes: Active brain last night, don't quite recall what connected where. The Dream: ..I was in a room, sitting on a bed. Unsure who's room, but it seemed like a hotel room layout. The bed was a double and there was a second double bed to the right, and a mini-kitchen past that with counters along the far wall. I was wearing a wedding ring, but after having a conversation with my dad, I took the ring off and threw it in a nearby trash can. It didn't seem to be a sentimental or emotional moment. At some point I ended up with another wedding ring on and Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch walked in the room to tell me that the person I had just married had died. I removed the ring and threw it in the trash, as well, proclaiming that it must not have been meant to be. -- (I woke up, shared the briefs of that dream with Trevor, then fell back asleep after he left for work.) I was driving in a bright yellow Challenger on an interstate. It was at night and another car w...

Middle Schooler's Nightmare

Notes: One of my goals for progressing my photography this year is better engagement on Instagram... as such, I've been spending too much time scrolling on my phone paying attention to it. My cousin called this dream a "middle schooler's nightmare." The Dream: I was laying in bed as if I had just woken up. It was still dark out, but I rolled over to pick up my phone. The screen lit up the room and I unlocked the phone and opened Instagram. I clicked to my profile page and my number of followers just started dropping. Slowly at first, one at a time, but then the speed picked up and I was just left to watch my number of followers drop down to zero.
Notes: Having lots of dreams with band members in them lately. Clearly excited for ShipRocked. The Dream: I was at an Amorphis concert in an unknown venue. Papa Roach's vocalist Jacoby was off to the left of the stage, on the general admission floor, rocking out with everyone else. I noticed him and went to talk to him, subconsciously thinking about the photo book I made that I wanted to show him. He was excited to see me, gave me a hug and proceeded to talk to me in his typical, over-hyped manor. The conversation didn't feel like it lasted long before he said he had to go, but that we could catch up later. I debated following him out of the venue and running to my car to get the book to show him before he totally disappeared, but I didn't want to leave the show, so I stayed through the end. I'm pretty sure the "venue" ended up just being in someone's actual house. I vaguely recall talking to a few women while I was hanging around after the show, but ...
Notes: Not feeling great, took a random afternoon nap... The Dream: (I'm pretty sure the beginning had to do with a conversation at my boyfriend's parent's house last night... his dad wanted us to check on his sister because she hadn't replied to any texts that day.)  I don't know where I was to start, but I had my phone in my hand. I just received a text from Trevor's dad asking us to check in on his sister Sandy. I had this terrible feeling in my gut, like something was really wrong, so I did a quick Facebook look up and saw people were commenting things like heart emoji's and "We'll miss you," on her profile photo. I decided I needed to go check on her. Although I don't know how I got there, I ended up walking down a long gravel road, clearly in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by forest. I could see a small little house through the woods in the distance that resembled Sandy's house, but something got jumbled along the way. ...
Notes: Went to a CKY concert last night, had someone creepily staring at me through the car window for nearly an hour afterward. Got home at 3 AM. I dunno if any of these things actually connected to the dream, but this is the only journal I've kept semi-consistently in life, so it seemed worth noting. Foods Eaten: Salad The Dream: (I'm certain there was more before where my memory kicks in.)  ...Looking around, I was in a large hallway with white tile floor and white brick walls. The kind of hall you see for concession stands in an arena. There was a girl on the floor with one of those plastic containers you use to hold paint in when you're using a roller... except hers was filled with water. And a lobster. I recall thinking that was an odd choice for a pet, but when I got closer and was watching it move around, I could see how it could be kind of cute. I walked away, probably made a circle around the presumed arena. I may have even gone into a seat, it felt like I ha...
